This notice explains what information may be handled when you visit Developers Web Tools, use its tools, or contact us. Some tools process your inputs in your browser; the contact form is different because it sends the details you submit to our form provider so we can receive your message.
Information you choose to send us
If you use the contact form, the information you enter—such as your name, email address, subject, and message—is sent to Formspree and forwarded to our contact email. Formspree processes submissions under its own Privacy Policy. If you email us directly, your message is handled by our email provider. Please do not send passwords, private keys, financial details, or other sensitive information.
How the tools handle your inputs
The tools are designed to do their work in your browser, rather than sending the text or files you enter to our servers for processing. Some tools save settings or working state in your browser’s local storage so they can be restored on that device. Depending on the tool, saved state may include data you entered. It remains in that browser until you clear the site’s stored data or the tool provides a reset option. Avoid entering confidential information.
Hosting, performance measurement, and third-party resources
The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like other hosting and network providers, Cloudflare processes technical request information to deliver and protect the website. The pages also include Cloudflare Web Analytics for site performance and usage measurement. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors’ personal data; see Cloudflare’s Web Analytics information.
Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts and, where needed, software libraries from jsDelivr. When your browser requests those resources, those providers may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser request details. Their own privacy terms apply to those requests.
Cookies and browser storage
The site’s own interface uses browser local storage for preferences and, in some tools, to remember working state. Local storage is saved on your device and can be removed through your browser’s site-data or storage settings. Cloudflare or other service providers may use technical technologies as described in their own policies. We do not currently use advertising scripts on the site pages reviewed for this notice.
How information is used and shared
Contact details are used to read and respond to your message and to maintain relevant correspondence. We do not sell personal information. Information is shared with service providers only as needed to host and protect the site, provide analytics, load site resources, or process contact submissions. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the site and its users.
Retention and your choices
Contact messages may remain in our email records for as long as reasonably needed to respond and keep relevant correspondence. Formspree’s handling and retention of submissions is governed by its own policy and service terms. You can clear local storage through your browser settings.
